Immune Dysfunction
Skin problems can be seen with increased frequency in patients with an altered immune system, including:
Cancer patients
Patients with HIV

- Define primary immune deficiencies and review skin findings seen in patients with internal malignancies
- Identify skin reactions and common bacterial and viral skin infections associated with chemotherapy
- Discuss dermatologic presentations of acute HIV infection as well as awareness of the risk of skin cancer in this population
- Recognize that patients with HIV may have atypical presentations of common skin diseases and be refractory to common therapeutics.
To receive the Certificate of Completion for contact hours, you must successfully complete the module, post test, and evaluation form.
